Day Tripper Package: Level 3

The Day-tripper first and second level packages are not solar enabled and the third level package has a solar charging capability of 25 Amperes. All three levels are capable of connecting heavier current DC equipment like tyre air compressors and a 600-Watt inverter directly to the system via the grey, 50 A Brad Harrison type coupler plug/s with all other appliances and smaller DC battery chargers directly from the DC supply sockets.

The third level of this day-tripper package is a 12 V DC distribution system having an auxiliary storage capacity of 100 Ah Lithium ion Phosphate (LiFePo4) battery that is charged at home as per the battery manufacturer’s instructions with a suitable intelligent lithium-able charger and being topped up by your vehicle alternator with 25 A while driving and a solar charger when stationary having a ground deploy solar module or fixed 2 x 100-Watt RV panels. (The strapping down of the battery box, the cables from the alternator, safety hardware set and fixed solar modules must be Installed and can be arranged.)
